NCCVE StaffJohn Thompson John Thompson is the former director of government relations in North Carolina for the American Cancer Society, where he played a key role in shepherding through the legislature bills aimed at caring for cancer victims and curbing tobacco use. Prior to joining the American Cancer Society, Thompson worked as a governmental affairs director for the N.C. Manufactured Housing Institute and as a project manager with the political consulting firm Campaign Connections. He is a graduate of N.C. State University with a degree in political science. A Gulf War veteran, Thompson served in the 82nd Airborne Division from 1990 to 1995. Damon Circosta Damon Circosta has worked in Washington D.C., California and Raleigh as an attorney and political consultant. A graduate of the University of Arizona School of Law, Damon has worked in the U.S. Senate on campaign reform efforts including the landmark Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act. He has managed a successful statewide judicial campaign under North Carolina's Judicial Campaign Reform Act, and worked on various other reforms to our election system. Bryan Warner Bryan Warner is a graduate of Western Carolina University, with a degree in communications and Spanish. He is responsible for the Center's print and multimedia publications, and serves as webmaster for NCCVE. Lindsey Hosner Lindsey Hosner is North Carolina's statewide coordinator for the National Student/Parent Mock Election, taking place on Oct. 30, 2008. |
